I was honoured to design special pieces for Queen Sonja of Norway and First Lady of Ukraine, Kateryna Mykhaylivna Yushchenko, wife of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko.

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
We also accept PAYPAL payments; however, your order will not be processed and shipped until we receive your payment.
SHIPPING COSTS:
Shipping costs are based upon live estimates received directly from Canada Post, FedEx or UPS by weight and destination address at the time the order is placed.
All orders will be shipped INSURED with UPS, FedEx or Canada Post unless otherwise specified. All claims (damage or shortage) must be reported within two working days after receipt of merchandise.
Our responsibility for merchandise shipped via common carrier ceases upon delivering the order to the carrier. We are not responsible for merchandise lost or damaged in transit. You must file a claim with the delivery carrier. We would, however, assist you in supplying any information necessary for submission of your claim.
RETURNS & REPAIR POLICY:
ORIGINALS BY ANDREA does not offer refunds. Credit will be issued to merchandise that has visible manufacture defect and is reported in writing within 7 business days of receiving the shipment. Credit can be applied towards the purchase of any items on our website.
There are no refunds or exchanges on special orders which include lengthened pieces and requested design changes. The customer will be responsible for the cost of shipment and/or call tag Canada Post or UPS charges for any returned merchandise.
In the unlikely event that a piece needs repair, there will be a $10.00 per piece repair charge, plus shipping for all merchandise purchased within 60 days. For merchandise over 60 days old, there will be a $20.00 per piece repair charge, plus shipping. As our merchandise changes often, some beads or stones may not be available for repair, in which case we will make every attempt to find something similar.

ORIGINALS by ANDREA was established a decade ago by Canadian designer Andrea Kolpaska.
Andrea Kolpaska emigrated from the Slovak Republic/Czechoslovakia in 1999 to begin a new life in Canada. Immediately struck by her adopted country’s natural beauty, Andrea was inspired to explore the beauty of this country’s natural gemstones by creating jewellery that celebrated its natural heritage. This was a natural progression for Andrea; she had been making jewellery and collecting gemstone since she was 16, a pursuit that let her to complete a program at the University of Art and Design in Bratislava.
The response to Andrea’s pieces here in Canada was overwhelming, and soon, ORIGINALS by ANDREA was born, turning an all-consuming hobby into a business.
From this inspiration grew ORIGINALS by ANDREA, creations that reflect Andrea Kolpaska’s unique artistic vision and singular interpretation of nature's magnificent materials. Transcending seasons and time, Andrea's collections are timeless, unique and innovative pieces featuring the finest quality Czech and Venetian glass, Swarovski crystals, semiprecious stones, natural minerals, freshwater Akoya pearls, and saltwater Tahitian pearls, sterling silver, 14Kt and 18Kt gold, and fossils in a diverse collection of broaches, pendants, necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

Northern Lights trapped in Stone
Like a dark cloud frozen in a moonlit night, the Labradorite imparts a mysterious sparkle you can almost feel.
According to an Eskimo legend, the Northern Lights were once imprisoned in the rocks along the Labrador coast, until one day an Eskimo warrior found them and freed most of the lights with a blow from his spear. Not all the lights could be freed from the stone however and for that reason we have today what is known as Labradorite.
The name Labradorite comes from the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, which is a famous locality for the stone. The mineral was discovered by Moravian missionaries at Ford Harbour, Paul Island near Nain off the coast of Labrador in 1770. Labradorite is Canada's first documented and best known gemstone.
Amethyst, the official gemstone of the province of Ontario, was once revered as the jewel of the gods. The largest amethyst deposit in North America. was discovered in 1955 in Thunder Bay Ontario..
